Educational Field Trips
Classroom field trips are encouraged for young students to view the site and learn about ecosystems & land preservation.
In addition, we invite you to explore many easy-to-use, nature-based learning resources that have been identified by educators with over 50 years of teaching experience. Click on the photos of topics you are interested in below to find related resources. Most are adaptable for preschool through fifth grade classrooms. We hope you and your students find them helpful as you learn about nature and Illinois’ native habitat! You are encouraged to integrate this information with your visit to Bloomingdale’s own Hank Gianvecchio Natural Habitat Area.
